The Team

This is a brief introduction to my team of very experienced instructors and staff with over 15 years of teaching experience between us. All my staff are CRB and first aid trained.

Mark Rayner

Mark learned to dive in Spain in 2003 where he trained to Divemaster before going to Lanzarote to take his instructors. He then moved back to the UK 8 years ago where he started Wavecrest and has continued his education becoming Master Scuba Diver Trainer in 2007 and IDC staff in 2009.

He is a specialty instructor in wreck; search and recovery; boat diver; enriched air; deep diver; underwater navigation; dry suit; diver propulsion vehicle; peak performance buoyancy; Digital under water photography; Wreck diver, under water videographer Distinctive instructor in Side Mount diving as well as an EFR instructor.

Sue Barnes

Sue started with us last year and is currently going trough the zero to hero program, having completed her Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and currently training to be a Dive Master.

Sue manages the day to day running of the dive centre from taking bookings, coordinating the dives, promotion and the general sales strategy of the shop.

Maria Machin

Maria has worked in Thailand teaching many different dive courses, gaining experience in all aspects of diving. She is an underwater photography instructor as well as underwater videography and a master scuba diver trainer.

Jason Hicks

Jason came to us 3 years ago as an advanced open water diver to do his rescue, he then worked with us as an intern dive master before going to the red sea for his instructors course. He has continued his education as master scuba diver trainer with specialties in search and recovery, underwater navigation, deep, multi level, enriched air, peak bouyancy, naturist and he is also an emergency first response instructor.

Chris Densley

Chris did his open water in university where he fell in love with the aquatic world. He came to us for his advanced, rescue and has now completed his dive master.

Sam Norton

Sam approached us to do his open water, he has since done his advanced and rescue and is currently working for his dive master
